Act I Chapter III
Chapter Summary: The kids go on a harmless adventure.
At the school foyer, the kids are directed onto a large teleporter pad. They are taken to a remote laboratory in the countryside.
AURORA: Huh?
AURORA: What just happened?
FENFERRA: I think we just got teleported here.
ADELPHI: Woah.
ATOM: Where even are we?
???????: I’m glad you asked.
Practically all the kids turn around to see a short, old man in a grey lab coat.
DR. BROWN: My full name is Ophiuchus Brown, but you kids can call me Doctor Brown.
DR. BROWN: Nice to meet you!
SAMSARA: woah, you’re like… an actual person?
NEFFERIN: we dont really see a lot of real adults around
DR. BROWN: Yes, it’s unfortunate that you are all orphans.
DR. BROWN: But your past is not what I brought you here for.
DR. BROWN: I brought you here for your future.
He finishes off his enigmatic remark by throwing his hands upwards. The wall folds inwards, revealing a large, circular machine with pods lining the outside and countless cables on the inside.
ZENITH: Well.
KRANYON: Okay.
DR. BROWN: Once I learned of the existence of the 16 of you a few years ago, I started building this machine as a tribute to science.
DR. BROWN: To push the limits of biological development into realms unknown.
DR. BROWN: And a week and a half ago, I finally finished it.
CANDELL: Yeah, but what does it do?
DR. BROWN: You know how your power increases with the onset of puberty?
DR. BROWN: From the power of the sun, this machine should nearly double the increase.
DR. BROWN: Almost doubles the gains from the different tiers as well.
MORAN: tiers?
CASSIOPEIA: oh, sorry doctor, we didn’t have enough time to go through the lesson on tiers just now!
DR. BROWN: Oh, okay.
DR. BROWN: Did you at least cover the aspects?
CASSIOPEIA: nope.
DR. BROWN: Well, I’ll just have to give you kids a crash course!
